If you are working with patrons you will be dealing with confidential and/or sensitive information. Here are som general guidelines:

  • Do NOT say a patron’s ID number out loud
  • Do NOT announce out loud how many fines a patron has, instead tell the patron to check their account or show them with the dual monitor
  • When checking out a room key to a patron ask them for their name, DO NOT say the name of the person who made the reservation
