Answer
When employees do not comply with policies set forth by the UM System, Missouri S&T, and the Library and Learning Resources, supervisors are responsible for documenting the offense, promptly meeting with the employee, and taking corrective action. The Library and Learning Resources follows a progressive discipline process.
For student employees the The process includes a formal verbal warning, a written warning, and is concluded with termination of the student employee. Some offenses may be of such a degree that immediate
termination is warranted.
For all other staff the progressive disciplinary process is documented in University Policy HR-601.
